On the 14th of December 2023, our lab visited the Third Technical School of Limassol to discuss Online Social Networks, risks, and good cybersafety practices.

Our lab member, Pantelitsa Leonidou, gave a talk, in the context of the “Teacher’s Day”, about the online risks teachers may experience and advised them on how to detect/avoid/handle those risks. She also shared tips on setting the privacy settings of their online accounts and educating students on best cybersafety practices.

The educators learned the Cybersafety Family Advice tools that our team develops using the latest cybersafety technologies.

Close to 20 teachers with different specialization areas participated in the seminar.

This activity is funded by the CYberSafety (https://cybersafety.cy/) project. The project and its objectives along with information regarding its helpline and hotline 1480 were promoted during our visit.
