CYberSafety V

The general objective of the “CyberSafety V” project is to further contribute to the development and orderly function of the existing Cypriot Safer Internet Centre (SIC), through a national platform which will be closely adjacent to the European Core Service Platform. The Cypriot SIC will offer the following three Safer Internet services:

1. An awareness-raising centre which focuses on internet safety matters, geared towards children, adolescents, teachers, parents and other professionals working with children.

2. A helpline service aiming to provide support to children, adolescents, parents and teachers regarding harmful contact and inappropriate or illegal content online.

3. A hotline service where the public may report illegal online child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

The Cypriot SIC will further invest in its pivotal role as a leading SIC in the Republic of Cyprus as well as an active collaborator with leading European bodies and will continue to provide quality services to the public.
