I graduated with a BEng (Hons) Telecommunications and Computer Networks Engineering from London South Bank University and I continued my studies at the same university and got an MSc in Telecommunications and Computer Networks Engineering with Distinction.
I am a Qualified Associate Member of ETEK, CISCO, ICT, UNICERT and ECDL Certified Training Professional (CTP). I am highly motivated and passionate in the Telecommunication and Computer Network field and I am ready to gain a lifelong learning experience that would liaise with his work environment.
My research interests lie in the fields of security in social networks, device-centric authentication, Cybersafety and Generative AI systems for coding skills evaluation and accreditation of digital competences.
I have participated in secondment under the European projects, INCOGNITO and AERAS. In addition, I have been involved in writing research proposals to attract funding and to support the preparation of MarieCurie ITN proposals in 2017. I have experience in managing research projects as part of my work in the research laboratory with working on EU-funded projects called ReCRED, ENCASE, INCOGNITO, SECONDO, CONCORDIA, CYBERSAFETY II, AERAS, and e.t.c.
I am a professional member of the Cyprus Engineering Council ETEK in the areas of Electronic Engineering and Information Technology Engineering. In addition, I am a Qualified Associate Member of Cyprus Computer Society.
Apart from these, I am a Teacher in higher education in the area of Technology and Computer Engineering and also an ECDL, ICT and CISCO qualified trainer.
I am a Special Scientist C / Project Manager at the Network Systems and Science Research Laboratory (NetSySci) since 2015 and a PhD student at Cyprus University of Technology since 2022 at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics.
My research interests lie in the fields of security in social networks, device-centric authentication, Cybersafety and Generative AI systems for coding skills evaluation and accreditation of digital competences.
In my degree thesis I worked on the development of a wireless communication channel and control of robots. The research aimed at developing a program on the operator’s computer which could accept input data and simulate the movements of the robot on the computer screen. A second program developed on another, independent computer at some distance from the first computer, was accepting the commands wireless, by using Bluetooth Technology. Initially the system was used to transfer simple data. In a second stage, however, the system was used for power transfer systems, taking into account the transfer of mass, length, power, torque, moment of inertia, speed, acceleration, etc.
During my postgraduate studies I choose for my dissertation research a topic in the telecommunications sector, in cooperation with the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA). I studied and researched the electromagnetic radiation emitted from Base Transmission Stations (BTS) used by CYTA mobile telephony. He conducted research on BTS in Limassol and Paphos districts and prepared reports, which are required by the European Union and which have to take place every six months at each BTS. I also investigated the relationship of the electromagnetic radiation emitted at the same point from the BTS and a mobile phone without using hands free.
